The Gigantamax Rillaboom Max Battle Day takes place on August 1st, 2026, from 2 PM to 5 PM local time. During these three hours, power spots will refresh more frequently and offer 8x Max Particles. You'll need 800 Max Particles to challenge the Max Battle boss. A shiny version will be available with a 1 in 20 rate.
From July 31st at 5 PM PDT until August 1st at 8 PM PDT, the remote raid limit increases to 20. This is your prime opportunity to target other valuable mons like Mega Aggron, which will be appearing in raids concurrently. Don't miss out on powering up this powerful Steel/Rock type!
Aggron (Steel/Rock) boasts impressive bulk and can be a strong contender in the Master League (ML #230), with decent performance in Ultra League (UL #487) and Great League (GL #741). Its raid hundo CPs are 1714 (normal) and 2143 (boosted). Be prepared with Fighting, Ground (2.56x effective), or Water (1.6x effective) counters. Top picks include Mega Lucario, Primal Groudon, and Primal Kyogre.
While not explicitly featured in raids during this specific event, Charizard (Fire/Flying) remains a fantastic asset due to its Mega Evolutions and solid PvP performance (ML #186, UL #212, GL #376). Its raid hundo CPs are 1651 (normal) and 2064 (boosted). When encountering Charizard in future raids, target its Rock (2.56x effective), Water, or Electric (1.6x effective) weaknesses. Shadow Rhyperior, Primal Kyogre, and Zekrom are excellent choices.
Make the most of this event by collecting all nearby Max Particles first. This unlocks walking bonuses, granting 2x particles for 1/4 distance. Consider the optional $5 ticket for a Max Mushroom, 6400 Max Particles, 2x XP from battles, and a bonus Premium Battle Pass via the web store. For in-person battles, use the RSVP system to coordinate with other trainers and ensure you have enough power to take down the boss!
