IV calculator
Pick a mons, enter CP, HP and stardust cost, and we'll back-solve every IV combo that matches. Hundo is 100 % (15/15/15). Lucky and Best Buddy each halve the dust shown in-game — toggle them so we look in the right level band.
Lucky = 50 % dust off. Best Buddy = 50 % dust off. Both stack to 75 % off. We multiply back when looking up the level table.

How to read an IV calculator in-game
Every mons in-game has three hidden stats — Attack, Defence, and Stamina — each rolled between 0 and 15 the moment you encounter it. Those nine bits never change. CP and HP at a given level are fully determined by those IVs plus the species base stats, so given a CP / HP / stardust triple you can reverse the formula and list every combo that fits. That is what this calculator does.
What inputs the calculator needs
Enter the four values shown in-game: CP, HP, current stardust cost (the number that appears on the power-up button), and the species. Optional toggles for Lucky (12 / 12 / 12 IV floor), Best Buddy (+1 effective level), and Weather-boosted (level 25-35 range) narrow the candidate set immediately.
Reading the result table
Each row is one valid combination: Attack / Defence / Stamina, the implied level, and the total IV percentage. Hundo combos highlight in cyan, sub-66 % scrap fades to gray. If two or more rows survive, power up once and re-enter — the new CP / HP eliminates the wrong levels.
When to keep, trade, or transfer
Hundos and near-hundos (94 %+ total IV) are obvious keeps. For PvP the math inverts — a 0-attack "rank-1" in Great League often outperforms a 100 %. Plug the IVs into our Trade evaluator to see whether a friend-trade re-roll improves the chances, or our functional-hundos guide for league-by-league targets. Scrap goes to the lucky-trade pile for dust-discounted re-rolls.
FAQ
How does an IV calculator work in-game?
The game stores three hidden 0-15 stats — Attack, Defence, Stamina — picked at random when a mons is encountered. CP and HP at a given level are a deterministic function of those IVs plus the species base stats. Given CP, HP and the stardust tier (which narrows the level range), an IV calculator reverses the formula and lists every combination that produces those exact numbers. Powering up reduces ambiguity because the new CP/HP pair only matches a subset of the original combos.
What does "hundo", "IV 100%", and "perfect IV" actually mean?
They all refer to the same thing: a mons whose three hidden IVs are 15 / 15 / 15. That gives the maximum possible CP at every level for that species and form. "Near-hundos" are 14 / 15 / 15 (98 %) and 15 / 14 / 15 (98 %). For raid attackers, the IV difference between a hundo and a 14-floor is usually under 2 % damage — collection appeal is the main driver.
Why does my CP narrow down only one IV combo sometimes?
Stardust tier defines a small level range, and within that range each (atk, def, sta) triple produces a unique (CP, HP) pair for a given species. The smaller the level range, the fewer combos can match — so weather-boosted catches (level 25-35) often resolve to a single combo immediately.
Do Lucky and Best Buddy trades change the IV calculation?
Lucky mons get a 12 / 12 / 12 IV floor at trade time, so the calculator narrows much faster. Best Buddy adds a +1 effective level when the mons is your active buddy at best-friend rank — CP rises by ~10 % without changing the underlying IVs. The calculator handles both via toggles so the numbers stay accurate.
What's the cheapest way to confirm IVs once I've narrowed down?
Power up once. The stardust-tier shift after a single level-bump usually cuts the candidate list in half. If still ambiguous after one power-up, the in-game Appraisal screen confirms the bar pattern; the iOS Hundo Hunter app reads those bars directly via on-device OCR so you don't have to type CP and HP in at all.
