Trainer level guide
L1 → L40 is the XP grind. L41 → L50 is the XP grind PLUS specific quest tasks. Total XP to L50 is around 350 million — most players hit L40 in ~2 months of casual play, then plateau.
01 · XP REQUIREMENTS BY BRACKET
Per-level XP scales exponentially. Compare: L1 → L5 is 5 000 XP total. L40 → L50 is over 300 million.

03 · L40 → L50 · SPECIAL TASKS
From L41 onward, hitting the XP threshold isn't enough — each level also requires completing specific tasks. Plan ahead: the L50 tasks include winning 100 raids and reaching GO Battle League rank 10.

XP grind speedrun
- Lucky Egg + first-evolution chain doubles XP. Stockpile 200+ cheap-to-evolve early-game mons (the 12-candy Bug / Normal-types), pop a Lucky Egg, evolve all 200 in 30 minutes.
- Stack Star Pieces with Lucky Eggs during Community Day for 4× XP windows on every catch.
- First catch of the day gives 3 000 XP at the 7-day streak. Same for the first stop spin.
- Friend-level-up XP is huge — 10 000 → 100 000 XP per friendship-tier achieved. Schedule big trades when capping friendship for combined XP.
