Harvest Fest: What to *Actually* Pick
what's actually worth your time / candy
The Harvest Festival 2026 event runs from September 29 to October 5. This year's festival brings the debut of Shiny Applin, along with unique evolution mechanics involving special apple items. Get ready to pick some rare mons and power up your team!
Applin (Grass/Dragon) introduces a new evolution method. To evolve Applin into Flapple, Appletun, or Dipplin, you'll need 200 Candy *and* 20 specific apples (Tart, Sweet, or Syrupy, respectively). Dipplin can further evolve into Hydrapple with another 200 Candy. Max wild CP for Applin is 612.
Don't overlook Inteleon (Water), a strong raid attacker with 262 ATK. Counter it with Electric or Grass types like Zekrom or Mega Sceptile. Malamar (Dark/Psychic) is a PvP powerhouse, ranking GL #20 and UL #15. Be aware of its double weakness to Bug (2.56x) and weakness to Fairy. Top counters include Mega Heracross and Zacian. Also, Xerneas enters 5-star raids after Sept 30, 6 PM, and Mega Victreebel takes over Mega Raids after Sept 30, 6 AM.
Take advantage of event bonuses. The Harvest Festival GO Pass Rank 1 grants increased Applin apple drops when caught, essential for its unique evolutions. At Rank 10, Mossy Lure Modules activated during the event will last for a full hour, making it easier to gather apples and encounter event mons. Apples can also be found by tapping on them on the overworld map.
Don't waste time guessing IVs. Use Hundo Hunter to instantly scan and verify the perfect 100% IVs for Applin (wild 612 CP), Inteleon (wild 2541 CP), Malamar (wild 2022 CP), and all other event mons. Maximize your candy and stardust by only investing in the best!
