Minior's Debut: What You NEED to Know
what's actually worth your time / candy
Minior, the unique Rock and Flying-type mon, is finally making its in-game debut during the Orionids 2026 event! From October 19th to October 24th, trainers will have their first chance to encounter this special species. Get ready for a catching experience unlike any other, featuring multiple forms and valuable bonuses.
Unlike many new mons, Minior will appear exclusively in the *wild* during this event. You won't find it in raids or hatching from eggs, making focused wild encounters your priority. Keep an eye out for increased wild spawns daily between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM local time, when the in-game sky will light up with shooting stars. Each Minior caught also grants extra Stardust, making it a rewarding catch!
Minior comes in two distinct forms: the Meteorite form (its brown base) and the Kernel form, which boasts seven different colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet). During the Orionids 2026 event, a specific core color will be available. Future meteor shower events will introduce other core colors, with some potentially being regional. Don't worry if you miss a color; these events are announced to repeat annually.
As a Rock and Flying-type, Minior has five weaknesses: Water, Electric, Ice, Rock, and Steel. While its base stats and optimal CP for battle are yet to be fully detailed (announced closer to the event), its unique battle mechanic makes it interesting for PvP: Minior will fight in its Meteorite form until its HP drops below 50%, then transform into its open Core form.
Trainers eager for a shiny Minior will need to wait. The official announcements confirm that Shiny Minior will *not* be available during the Orionids 2026 event or any of the initial meteor shower events. Its shiny form, featuring a slightly darker meteorite and a black core, is expected to debut in a future event.
