November Max Battle Day: Azelf, Mesprit, and Charizard

Get ready for a high-intensity Max Battle Day on November 21st, 2026, from 2 PM to 5 PM local time! This 3-hour window brings increased spawns and bonuses for Azelf and Mesprit, alongside the return of Mega Charizard raids. Don't miss your chance to snag powerful mons and collect valuable Max Particles.

Azelf: The standout Psychic attacker with a formidable 270 Attack stat. While strong, it's generally outclassed by Max Alakazam for ease of candy collection. Azelf's PvP ranks are GL #982, UL #770, ML #357, making it primarily a raid attacker. Mesprit: Offers balanced stats, but doesn't excel as an attacker or tank. Its PvP ranks are GL #803, UL #614, ML #321. Charizard: Mega Charizard X and Y raids will be available, offering powerful Fire/Flying options. Charizard is more relevant in PvP, ranking UL #212 and ML #186.

Azelf & Mesprit (Psychic): Weak to Bug, Ghost, and Dark types. Top counters include Mega Heracross, Mega Scizor, Volcarona (Bug); Dawn Wings Necrozma, Mega Gengar, Origin Giratina (Ghost); and Mega Weavile, Mega Tyranitar, Yveltal (Dark). Charizard (Fire/Flying): Double weak to Rock (2.56x), and also weak to Water and Electric. Prioritize Rock-type counters like Shadow Rhyperior, Mega Diancie, Mega Aerodactyl, and Mega Tyranitar. Other strong options include Primal Kyogre, Kyogre, Mega Blastoise (Water), and Zekrom, Mega Ampharos, Shadow Raikou (Electric).
