Throughout the event, expect to see a variety of costume Pikachu appearing more frequently in the wild and in Field Research tasks. Look out for Trick or Treats, Winter Carnival, and Summer Flare Pikachu. In 1-star raids, you'll find Dapper Pikachu, Safari Hat Pikachu, Amethyst Crown Pikachu, World Championship 2022/2023/2024 Pikachu, and Varsity Jacket Pikachu. From July 15th at 6 AM local time, the legendary Kyogre will take over 5-star raids.
Kyogre is a top-tier Water-type Legendary, ranking #11 in the Master League. Its high attack and defense make it a formidable opponent. To challenge Kyogre, bring Electric and Grass-type counters like Zekrom, Mega Ampharos, Shadow Raikou, Mega Sceptile, Mega Venusaur, and Shadow Chesnaught. A perfect Kyogre from raids will have 2351 CP (or 2939 CP with weather boost).
Alolan Raichu, with its Electric/Psychic typing, holds ranks GL #218 and UL #215. While not a top meta pick, it can shine in specific team compositions. Be aware of its multiple weaknesses: Ground, Bug, Ghost, and Dark. Strong counters include Primal Groudon, Mega Heracross, Mega Gengar, and Mega Tyranitar. A perfect Raichu from raids will have 1247 CP (or 1558 CP with weather boost).
