Reshiram opens day 1, then Zekrom takes over. Both are top raid priorities — see /candela-event/priorities for full counters. Reshiram fuses with Kyurem → White Kyurem (#1 Ice attacker). Zekrom fuses → Black Kyurem (#2 Ice).
Audino is the highest-Stardust-per-catch Pokémon in the game (2,100 per catch) — combine with Star Piece + Mega-type bonus for serious dust farming. Mega Lopunny is the #1 Normal Mega and a decent budget Fighting attacker — useful Mega energy for Normal-type catching boosts.
Shadow Dialga all 7 days. Enrages at 60% HP — counter with 8 Purified Gems across raid trainers (max 5 per trainer). Powers Origin Dialga's Roar of Time adventure effect (extends Incense, Star Pieces, Lucky Eggs).
Free Max Electabuzz spawns at Power Spots. Stockpile Max Particles + candy if you're working toward Gigantamax Electabuzz (eventually).

Very. Costume Ponyta with Candela's accessory has only appeared during Candela-themed events. It's only available 7 days. You can guarantee 1 from the free Event Go Pass; 1 more if you upgrade to the $5 Deluxe pass. The Team Valor background is exclusive too. Shiny-eligible — bring Pinaps on the encounter.
Both if you can — both fuse with Kyurem to produce the top two Ice attackers in the game (White Kyurem #1, Black Kyurem #2). Reshiram is also #9 Fire attacker and rank 9 Master League. 4-5 trainers minimum, OR 2-3 trainers with 8 Purified Gems used across the team (max 5 per trainer per raid). Shadow Dialga enrages at ~60% HP and de-rages at ~15% — during the enraged window it's nearly impossible without the Gems. Purified Gems come from Team GO Rocket Leaders, Grunts, Giovanni, and Shadow Raids — Shadow Shards auto-combine into a Gem every 4.
Mega Blaziken is the standout — its Fire+Fighting typing covers Charmander, Mankey, Hisuian Growlithe, Machop, Ponyta, Flareon, Slugma, Magcargo, Scraggy, and Reshiram catches. One Mega evolution boosts candy + XL + XP for almost the entire spawn list. Alternative: any Electric-type Mega (Mega Manectric, Mega Ampharos) for Zekrom raids in the back half.
Top priority: Charmander (Mega Charizard Y is the #1 Fire attacker, Gmax Charizard #2 Max Fire). Mid: Scyther (Mega Scizor #5 Bug), Mankey (Annihilape PvP in all three leagues), Honedge (Aegislash Great League rank 19), Fletchling (Talonflame GL 29 / UL 40). Lower priority: Machop (Gmax Machamp is #1 fighting for Max Battles). Skip-tier for meta: Growlithe, Ponyta (except costume), Flareon, Scraggy, Slugma, Rockruff, Magcargo.
Friday June 12 falls inside the event window. Trading nets 2 guaranteed XL Candy per trade — a 100-trade Friday yields ~200 XL Candy. Combined with the Candela monthly Go Pass +1 candy per trade bonus, this is the most candy-efficient day of the week. Increased Lucky chance too.
