03 · HOW TO PREPARE

Save now, Mega later.

  • Stockpile candy

Save 200+ candy for each species you want to Mega Evolve on release day. Walk it as your buddy during events for bonus candy.

  • Keep high-IV copies

Hold your best IV specimen (4★ or high 3★). Mega stats scale from base stats, so a 15/15/15 Mega hits harder.

  • Tag them in-game

Use a "Mega Future" tag in your storage system. When the Mega drops, search the tag and you are ready to go.

  • Don't power up yet

Wait until the Mega is released to power up. Niantic sometimes adjusts stats or movesets on launch.

04 · ALREADY LIVE FROM Z-A

These Legends Z-A Megas are already in-game. Check the Mega guide for energy costs and raid bonus details.
