Experience points. Earned from catches, hatches, raids, evolutions, gym battles, and research. Drives Trainer Level.
Experience points. Earned from catches, hatches, raids, evolutions, gym battles, and research. Drives Trainer Level.
XP is your Trainer Level fuel. Sources: catches (100-1000 base), evolutions (1000), hatches (200-32000 by km), raids (3000-10000), gym battles (variable), and research tasks.
Multipliers stack: Lucky Egg (2×), curveball + nice/great/excellent throw bonuses, first-throw catches, and new-Pokédex-entry bonuses. A fully-bonused excellent curveball first-throw new-dex catch is roughly 6000+ XP per mon.
Mass evolution under a Lucky Egg is the canonical XP grind: 90 Pidgey evolves in 30 minutes = 90 × 1000 × 2 = 180,000 XP plus catch XP.
