DEFINITION

The brief moment when a charged move's animation lets the boss strike back. Dodging it cuts raid attacker faints.

01 · FULL EXPLANATION

When a raid boss uses a charged move it telegraphs a yellow ring + animation. The damage window is the moment damage registers — usually 200-700ms in. Tap-and-swipe-to-dodge during that window halves the damage you take.

Most raid clears ignore dodging because dropping DPS to dodge often loses more time than the heals save. The exception: very slow chargers (Hyper Beam, Outrage) where one dodge keeps your team alive.

PvP has no dodging — only shields. The damage window concept is raid-specific.
