Best Giratina counters — Tier 5 raid (2026)
The best Giratina counters are Mega Gengar, Shadow Chandelure, Mega Tyranitar, Xerneas, and Mega Salamence. Ghost + Dark + Dragon + Ice + Fairy all hit super-effectively.
Giratina-Altered and Origin are both Ghost/Dragon — weak to Ghost (mirror), Dark, Dragon, Ice, and Fairy. The widest weakness pool of any legendary in the game.
Ghost is preferred because it resists Giratina's Dragon-typing moves. Mega Gengar leads; Shadow Chandelure is the top F2P-tier counter.
