Best mons to purify (2026)
The best purified mons are Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and Mew — purification removes Frustration and unlocks Return + the legacy charged move from the era they were caught.
Purification costs 1000-20,000 stardust + 1-5 candy depending on rarity, and gives the mon +2 IVs across the board. For pre-purified legendaries this can turn a 13/13/13 into a hundo.
Purified mons also access Return (a Normal charged move with high DPE). They lose Shadow boost — so for raid DPS, leave them Shadow. Purify only if you want a clean ML pick or PvP build.
