Dynamax bosses
35 curated Max Battle bosses with counter teams, Max Move data, and a tier list. Per-boss pages rank attackers by DPS into best / no-legendary / low-budget rows so you can build a team that matches what's actually in your storage.
These Max Battle bosses are featured in-game right now. Tap any card for the full counter teams.
Solo-friendly first-clears. Use these to learn the format and farm starter Max Particles.
Dynamax Beldum
1-tier intro Dynamax. Easy first-clear that evolves into Metagross.
Dynamax Combee
1-tier intro Bug/Flying boss. Rock, Electric and Ice all hit super-effective. Mostly worth one clear for the Dynamax-trained version + Combee candy.
Dynamax Cufant
1-tier intro Steel boss. Fire + Ground + Fighting all hit super-effective.
Dynamax Falinks
1-tier Fighting — Psychic + Fairy + Flying attackers all work.
Dynamax Skwovet
1-tier early Dynamax — common warm-up boss. Use Fighting attackers, but most things work.
Dynamax Wooloo
1-tier intro Dynamax. The first many trainers will scan in-game. Fighting attackers clear it.
Mid-tier raids — 2-3 trainers typical. Most fights resolve in one Dynamax phase if you bring a type-advantaged team.
Dynamax Drednaw
Water/Rock 3-tier. Quad-weak to Grass + Electric — Grass attackers shred it.
Dynamax Dubwool
3-tier Normal-type. Only weak to Fighting — but only one type to defend against.
Dynamax Excadrill
Ground/Steel 3-tier with Max Quake's Special Defense team buff. Weak to Fighting (4×), Fire, Ground, Water.
Dynamax Greedent
Greedent only takes super-effective from Fighting. Plenty of HP — pack damage.
Dynamax Hatterene
Psychic/Fairy 3-tier. Weak to Ghost, Poison, Steel. Few resistances — easy to chip down.
Dynamax Sandaconda
Pure Ground — weak to Water, Grass, Ice. Grass attackers are the cheap-team go-to.
Dynamax Venusaur
Grass-line Dynamax boss with healing terrain support. Earlier raid in the line (Bulbasaur, Ivysaur) are 1-2 tier.
High-tier raids — 4+ trainers recommended. Bring the best you have and coordinate Max Move timing.
Dynamax Blastoise
Water-type Dynamax boss with rain-setting Max Geyser. Pure Water typing → only weak to Grass + Electric, no dual-type chip protection.
Dynamax Charizard
Fire/Flying 5-tier Dynamax boss with sun-setting Max Flare. Dual-type weakness to Rock (4×) plus Water + Electric. One of the most accessible high-tier Dynamax targets.
Dynamax Cinderace
Fire starter line capstone. Weak to Water, Ground, Rock.
Dynamax Inteleon
Water starter line capstone. Weak to Grass + Electric.
Dynamax Metagross
Steel/Psychic 5-tier boss — weak to Fire, Ground, Ghost, Dark. Dynamax Metagross is the top Steel attacker farm target in the format.
Dynamax Registeel
Pure Steel legendary in 5-tier Max Battle. Only Fire, Fighting, and Ground hit super-effectively — bring high-DPS counters and coordinate Max Move timing.
Dynamax Rillaboom
Grass starter line capstone. Use Fire, Flying, Ice or Poison attackers.
Dynamax Toxtricity
Electric/Poison 5-tier. Weak to Ground (1.6×) and Psychic.
Dynamax Zacian
Crowned-form Fairy/Steel — only Fire + Ground hit hard. Tough 5-tier boss; coordinate damage.
Dynamax Zamazenta
Fighting-type Hero of Many Battles form. Psychic + Fairy + Flying attackers. Max Knuckle buffs Zamazenta's team but no Crowned form yet — manageable.
Gigantamax-exclusive bosses with G-Max moves. Highest difficulty in the format — full 4-trainer lobbies and meta attackers.
Dynamax Eternatus
End-game Dynamax raid. Poison/Dragon — weak to Ground + Psychic, double-weak to nothing. Plan a coordinated lobby with shadow legendaries.
Gigantamax Blastoise
Gigantamax Blastoise hasn't shipped with a G-Max-exclusive move in-game yet — fights as a high-HP Dynamax Blastoise. Bring electric attackers.
Gigantamax Charizard
G-Max Wildfire burn lasts 4 turns — sustained chip damage on every non-Fire teammate. Rock attackers obliterate it (4× weakness).
Gigantamax Cinderace
G-Max Fireball is the highest-power Max Move released, plus it ignores stat changes. Premier Fire attacker.
Gigantamax Drednaw
G-Max Stonesurge spikes the field — chip damage on switch-ins. Same quad-weakness to Grass + Electric as the regular Dynamax form.
Gigantamax Hatterene
G-Max Smite confuses your attackers — bring high-HP front-liners so a missed turn doesn't kill them.
Gigantamax Inteleon
G-Max Hydrosnipe ignores stat changes — sniper-style Water attacker that bypasses defensive buffs.
Gigantamax Kingler
G-Max Foam Burst drops your team's speed — bring high-DPS Grass + Electric attackers that don't rely on rapid charged-move cycling.
Gigantamax Lapras
G-Max Resonance halves incoming damage with Aurora Veil — long fight. Quad-weak to Rock + Fighting via the Ice typing. Bring Tyranitar or a Fighting Mega.
Gigantamax Rillaboom
G-Max Drum Solo ignores stat changes — punches through bosses with defense buffs. Top Grass attacker for raids.
Gigantamax Snorlax
Pure Normal — only Fighting hits super-effective. G-Max Replenish keeps Snorlax's berry sustain going, so plan for a long fight.
Gigantamax Toxtricity
G-Max Stun Shock has a chance to disable your attackers. Ground attackers without status-prone fast moves clear it cleanest.
